  • Depending on what Epoxy product you put the UV Absorber into: Please see the information for that product to determine working time, pot life, finish time, and application details

  • MIXING RATE: ¾ gallons epoxy = 1 oz. of Smith’s Epoxy U.V. Absorber; 1 ½ gallons epoxy = 2 oz. of Smith’s Epoxy U.V. Absorber

  • Smith’s Epoxy U.V. Absorber additive enhances the durability and extends the service life of the epoxy film by absorbing UVA radiation thus lessening U.V. light degradation (i.e. Yellowing, Chalking, Cracking, etc.). For use in 100% Solids Epoxy, such as Smith’s Epoxy UCE200 or Smith’s Epoxy U100

  • RECOMMENDED USES: Residential, Retail & light Commercial applications; Matrix for Metallic & Luster coatings; Matrix for broadcast systems - Vinyl Chip or Color Quartz; Matrix for solid colours (optional for high natural light exposure)

  • HIGHLIGHTS: Absorbs UVA Rays; Slows epoxy degradation caused by Ultra Violet light radiation; Extends service life of decorative epoxy; Improves clarity of clear & metallic epoxy coatings

  • LIMITATIONS: Smith’s Epoxy U.V. Absorber additive (sold separately) can be used to lessen U.V. damage / discolouration but not completely eliminate epoxy damage discolouration over time; For use in 100% solids epoxy only

  • MIXING: Add 1 bottle (4 fl.oz.) to 3 gallons of 100% solids epoxy while mixing Part A with Part B using a low speed (< 450 RPM) drill with paint mixing paddle attached for 2 to 3 minutes. “Stick” mixing is not recommended. If part mixing by volume, add 1% of Smith’s Epoxy U.V. Absorber to total volume of mixed liquid epoxy product. For example: ¾ gallons epoxy = 1 oz. of Smith’s Epoxy U.V. Absorber; 1 ½ gallons epoxy = 2 oz. of Smith’s Epoxy U.V. Absorber

  • Application method varies depending on the coating system. See epoxy product data sheet for detailed instructions
